My client is a long-standing local drywall company specializing in both Commercial and Residential markets. Scopes of work include: Steel Stud Framing, Insulation, Drywall, Taping, Textured and Acoustic Ceilings. Contracts can range from under $5000.00 up to $2 Million plus and include both new construction starts as well as renovations.

The Site Supervisor really knows Interiors Systems Mechanics!

The Site Supervisor is responsible for site management and construction activities of multiple job sites. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Site Supervisor assists with all facets of the company’s construction activities including assisting with estimating, ordering materials, staffing requirements, quality control and management of all subcontractors. You are well connected in the industry and have a great reputation. The Site Supervisor directs and monitors sub-contractors in all stages of construction pertaining to the drywall scope. A keen eye on the profitability is a must for each project.

The Site Supervisor is responsible for adhering to and administering the company’s health and safety program and providing quality control.

Responsibilities:

  • MUST have a deep understanding of all Interiors Systems with the greatest strengths in Steel Stud Framing, IPD’s and drywall.
  • Verification and coordination of site activity with contractors and installation crews.
  • Front line to end customers providing detailed communication regarding progress
  • Follow up to ensure that deficiencies are corrected to the satisfaction of the customer.
  • Have the ability and willingness to install drywall and site finishes as needed in a minor support capacity to create efficiencies within the project.
  • Micro schedule daily tasks for yourself with regards to trade, material and labor organization.
  • Assist and create the critical path for the project and follow to ensure schedule is maintained
  • Highlight to construction team any discrepancies on site and with project information
  • Ensure site logistics are well planned for safe install of all trades work
  • Update daily CM of site progress and trades performance
  • Work as a team with safety support staff to ensure all documentation is completed and followed on site by trades
  • Proactively manage site conflicts between, trades, drawings and construction documents
  • Excellent Computer knowledge.VERY comfortable using Excel. Use of email, viewing PDF files, organized filing of data, etc.
  • Site verification of dimensions and/or materials
  • Proactive in materials ordering and quantity take-offs while working closely with the estimator
  • Works with office on estimates, adheres to budgets and provides feedback from sites on any change orders
  • Detailed reporting to the office from site meetings on job progress for invoicing purposes
  • Ability to take responsibility for all actions and decisions and to follow through until a resolution is obtained
  • Strong planning and organizational skills coupled with the ability to multi-task and prioritize (excellent time-management skills)
  • Displays a high level of initiative and commitment to excellence
  • Ability to spend up to eight hours walking, standing, climbing stairs, lifting
  • Ability to maneuver up to 90kg with the proper equipment

Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:

  • 5 plus years’ experience managing people and construction sites
  • Interior Systems Mechanic experience A MUST
  • Valid Drivers Licence
  • Self-motivated and action oriented
  • Takes personal responsibility for actions

Work Environment:

  • Approximately 80% of day is spent at job sites
  • Full PPE at all times
